Cake Pops

So, has anyone ever tried their hand in the cake pop world? Well, I love to bake and the other day sweet Emery said “Gigi let’s make cake pops.” So of course I ordered the mold, and bought the stuff. Well…. It isn’t as easy as it looks. But, challenge accepted! I will conquer this task!! So if you want to watch my cake pop journey stick around!  My first ones were funfetti. Epic fail, delicious but would not stay on the stick. Next was cosmic brownie, stayed on the stick a little better and tasted like heaven! Third, was oatmeal crème pie! Used a different mold, was much better! Stayed on the stick, was delicious but wasn’t very pretty! Stay tuned for more 😂

A very simple but powerful thought tonight…..

Prayer Is Strength, Not an Interruption!

Too often we treat prayer as something that interrupts our busy day, when in reality it is the very thing that gives us the strength to face it.

Prayer isn’t wasted time—it’s time spent with the One who already knows your burdens, fears, and needs. Before every decision, every battle, and every blessing, God simply desires for us to come to Him.

Jesus often stepped away from the crowds to pray, reminding us that if the Son of God needed time with the Father, how much more do we?

“Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17 NKJV)

Don’t let prayer become your last resort. Let it be your first response. You’ll discover that what once felt like an interruption is actually the source of the strength you’ve been looking for.

You might want to truly search your soul because what comes out of the mouth is truly what is in the heart so says the word of God.  Words can heal, destroy, encourage or deceive.  They can lift up and they can tear down.  So when you go to make that post on social media, to send that text message, to make that ugly comment online, to take part in gossip or just in general communication.....THINK.  Three thoughts to ponder: how are you speaking, what are you posting, and how are your treating others verbally?
