What Do People See?
When people meet you, what do they see?
Do they see sadness? Depression? Brokenness? The scars left behind by past trials and disappointments? Or do they see your passion for Jesus shining through your life?
The truth is, every one of us has a story. We've all faced hardships, heartaches, and battles that could have left us defeated. Yet as believers, our past is not our identity—Christ is.
The Apostle Paul wrote:
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV)
This doesn't mean we never struggle. It means our struggles no longer define us. Instead, they become a testimony of God's faithfulness.
When others look at us, may they see more than our wounds. May they see the healing power of Jesus. May they see joy instead of despair, hope instead of defeat, and faith instead of fear.
Our lives should point people to Christ, not because we are perfect, but because He is.
So today, ask yourself: What do people see when they see me?
May they see someone who loves Jesus and is giving Him all they have.
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:16 NKJV)
